Programs
What ages do your STEM & robotics programs cover?
Aurobo Academy programs run from age 5 through 16, split into three streams: Robo Juniors (5-8, block-based coding + build kits), Robo Explorers (9-12, LEGO Spike + Python), and Robo Engineers (13-16, Arduino, 3D design, and competitive robotics).
Are your classes online or in-person?
In-person only. We run all our weekly term classes at our Raby centre in Macarthur (SW Sydney). For families outside the catchment we ship a self-paced Home Program kit Australia-wide with video lessons and weekly challenges. During school holidays we also run pop-up workshops in local shopping centres.
Do students need prior coding or robotics experience?
No prior experience needed. Every program starts with foundational skills and scales up. Beginners regularly finish their first term building working robots that follow lines, avoid obstacles, and respond to sensors.
How long is each term and how often do classes run?
Terms follow the NSW school calendar (10 weeks, 4 terms per year). Classes are 75 minutes weekly. We also run intensive holiday camps and one-off workshops.
Can my child compete in robotics competitions?
Yes. Our Robo Engineers stream includes coaching for FIRST LEGO League, RoboCup Junior, and the Aurobo Cup. Students who join competition tracks get extra weekend build sessions and mentorship.
Pricing
How much do classes cost?
Term fees start at $299 for Robo Juniors (10 weeks) and go up to $699 for Robo Engineers with kit rental. Family discounts, sibling rates, and payment plans are available. See the /shop page for current pricing.
Is a robotics kit included?
Kits are included in Robo Juniors program fees. Robo Explorers and Engineers use LEGO Spike / Arduino kits that can be rented per term (~$50) or purchased outright for take-home use. Kit ownership means kids can keep tinkering between classes.
Do you offer refunds if my child doesn't enjoy the class?
Yes. If your child attends their first class and doesn't want to continue, we refund the full term fee minus the pro-rated single-class cost. No questions asked.
Are there any government subsidies or Creative Kids vouchers accepted?
Yes — Aurobo Academy is a registered provider for the NSW Creative Kids voucher scheme ($100/year per child). Apply the voucher code at checkout.
Kits & Products
What's included in the Robo Junior starter kit?
The Robo Junior kit ships with a programmable base robot, USB charging cable, activity workbook, and access to our online Robo Portal with 40+ guided missions. Recommended ages 5-8. Batteries included.
Can I buy kits without enrolling in a class?
Absolutely. All our kits are available standalone in the /shop. Every kit ships with online guides so kids can start immediately, and you can upgrade to a class enrollment any time.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship within Australia and New Zealand only. International customers can email support@auroboacademy.com.au for special arrangements.

How do I book a free trial class?
Visit /book, choose your child's age band, and pick a class time. First trial is free — no card required to book.
What safety measures are in place at your in-person classes?
All instructors hold current Working With Children Checks. Classes are supervised at a 1:6 ratio. Kits use low-voltage components (max 5V). Parents can observe any class through our live studio feed via the Parent Portal.
